LA Fashion District

Back in November, my mom and took a little mini vacation to Los Angeles, our mission? Buy fabric! First stop off the plane? Mood fabrics!

Look at my momma isn’t she cute?! Now we can both say we’ve been to both Mood stores. 🙂

Row upon row of glorious fabric! I feel right at home. :)

This fabric in particular caught my eye. Isn't it beautiful?

Oh and I should mention that just like Swatch the boston terrier in the NYC store, the Los Angeles store has their own mascot, a chihuahua!

Mom and I also went to LA’s Fashion District. It’s a great place to go if you are looking for unique, quality fabrics at wholesale prices.

Wish this picture looked better, but that's what happens when you take a picture facing towards the sun!

We also stopped by Michael Levine’s. They sell all sorts of fabric as well as notions and yarn! It was also my first time seeing Liberty  of London fabrics. If you’ve never seen Liberty fabrics, you can take a look here. They have a unique style of prints, mainly small intricate designs. One of my favorites was of tiny exotic animals.

Here’s some of the fabric I got at Levine’s…

Pretty flowers! It looks like it's hand painted.

A fabulous design by Michael Miller. I love the ladies in their dresses.

Levine’s also has a store where you can buy fabric by the pound. I found a couple treasures…

I think they will make some nice flowy dresses for summer. I’m pretty happy with my new stash and can’t want to show you what I make with it all!
