So I have a confession to make, I have an unhealthy obsession with fabric. As you can imagine, Tucson does not have a big variety of fabric stores, mainly Joanne’s and Hancocks, a SAS and a sprinkling of quilting stores. What I lacked in fabric options in the near vicinity, I made up for online.
It all started when my sister and I visited NYC. As HUGE fans of Project Runway, we decided to make a pit stop at Mood. Well, it was amazing. Three stories of bolts of gorgeous fabric from floor to ceiling, row upon glorious row. When I got home, I decided to sign up for their emails. What I didn’t realize was that they would send out almost weekly deals on fabric. An enticing email would pop up in your inbox, promising you an amazing deal. And boy did they deliver! So much so that I found myself buying more fabric than I could keep up with. I justified it by telling myself it was ok to get it now, because when else was I going to be able to afford this fabric?! That of course did not help my bank account. My apartment was also becoming awash with Mood bags filled with fabric (I did eventually get it all organized). So I made the hard decision a few months ago to unsubscribe. :'(
Recently, Mood sent me an email, asking me to come back. “We miss you,” it said. Plus there was a discount, of course! I was definitely tempted and looked online, but ultimately decided not to buy anything. But I did end up signing up for their emails…. oh well haha. It just feels so good to be back in Mood’s network!
